Today, I announced my candidacy for World Bank President. I can be president of a bank. I can be president of "an an international organization whose original mission was to finance the reconstruction of nations devastated by WWII. Now, its mission has expanded to fight poverty by means of financing states." I can "impose economic policies that support western interests, despite evidence that free market reform policies in practice are often harmful to development if implemented badly, too quickly, in the wrong sequence, or in an inappropriate environment (eg very weak, uncompetitive economies)."
